The price of our pumps and related assemblies are subject to change and are always custom quoted based on your needs and desired quantity, but we do have the following price list with the suggested retail price for our various products.

Pumptec pumps do not require oil, but they require grease. It is not necessary to remove a pump to simply add grease, but it is necessary to install the correct amount of grease when making repairs.

The proper amount can be installed by filling the corners of the plunger slot and a shot of the same amount in the plunger center. Do not fill the plunger slot with grease because it is wasteful and has the potential to create a mess after operating for a period of time.

For cam and plunger-slot lubrication, Pumptec uses Super Lube® Multi-Purpose synthetic grease with PTFE. Use of other types of grease can adversely affect plunger and bearing life.

A noisy pump can be the result of several sources including plunger wear, inlet plumbing and incorrect repair.

If a pump has lost the lubricating grease in the plunger slot from lack of preventative maintenance, water splashing the pump or dirty environment, the pump can become loud and should be serviced immediately.

Inlet plumbing can develop air leaks that create very loud noise in the pump. It is the same as cavitation and will destroy the pump if not corrected. It is important to check all connections regularly to verify seal.

A cam bearing can go bad from overuse, lack of lubrication and excess pressure.

Bearings have a finite life and will eventually wear out from impacting the plunger over time. Following a preventive maintenance schedule will provide insurance against failure.

In some environments, like hot, humid and dusty, the bearing loses its lubrication and will fail prematurely, so it is important to monitor the level of grease in the plunger slot. It is recommended to perform a grease service every 250 hours in these environments. Additionally, if plunger seals are worn, the leakage can affect the grease to point it cannot lubricate properly any longer. Follow standard preventative service intervals to avoid this problem.

Over pressurization of pump will create excessive stress on the bearing and may result in failure. Maintain rated pressure to prolong the life of pump bearing.
